About Department
In Department of Information Technology besides imparting theoretical knowledge, a lot of stress is laid on hands-on training and overall development of the individual's personality. The faculty members supporting our programs are experienced and highly qualified which provides an excellent enviornment for learning and research. Our ultimate aim is to create a very good learning environment for the students of this Department and to make Information Technology Department a renowned Centre for learning. Department aims at Creating learning and working environments that encourage students to reach their potential and discover their unique purpose. Emerging trends in technical and professional education call for value addition i.e. students must acquire something more than what is provided in the curriculum. Department offers numerous of Value Addition Programs as a part of Institute Project Based Learning Initiative which are designed to bridge the gap between the academia and industry. The students have the option to choose the Value Addition Programs according to their desires and inclinations. Value addition Programs (VAP) allows Department students to strengthen their profile and knowledge. Department has also started activities related to Gov. of India's initiatives for enhancing quality of Technical & Professional Education in our Country like NPTEL, IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial, SWAYAM. Department is earning a remarkable position in the field of technical education through the untiring efforts of the visionary management, competent faculty members and stupendous students. Department with its state of the art facilies and dedicated team of faculty members has become a hub of technocrats and is marching towards new frontiers.

“International Conference on Recent Advances in Communication, Computing & Informatics” (ICRACCI) is organised by department of Information Technology of A. P. Shah Institute of Technology, Thane under the umbrella of International Conference on Advances in Science, Technology and Engineering ( ICASTe-2019 ). The broader objective of ICRACCI is to provide a forum for students, faculty, industry and researchers to share their ideas, stimulate creativity, facilitate advance development, motivate and inspire emerging talents on 4th and 5th January 2019 in the APSIT. The purpose of the conference is to bring together researchers from around the world who are interested to disseminate their knowledge and experience for the relevant future research scope.

  • The authors are requested to strictly follow and adhere to the prescribed template and page restrictions.
  • Papers submitted to ICRACCI 2019 should be written in the English language and can be a minimum of FOUR pages long and a maximum of SIX pages long (papers that are less than 4 pages long or more than 6 pages long will not be considered for review). This limit is inclusive of all text, figures, tables, acknowledgements, references, and appendices.
  • Full paper needs to be submitted for presentation at the conference as an oral or poster presentation. Oral/ poster presentation will not be allowed without submission of full paper.
  • Each paper will be peer-reviewed by experts in the field for originality, contribution and soundness.
  • Multiple submission of the same paper should be avoided. Papers must not be submitted to more than one conference or journal at the same time.

    About Thane

    Thane is a northern district of Konkan Maharashtra. Known as 'Cacade De Tana', its original name being Sristhanaka, named after Lord Ganpati, also known as the ‘City of Lakes’ It is one of the most popular metropolitan cities in India. Being a residential suburb of Mumbai, Thane has number of large industrial complexes of chemicals, engineering products, and textiles. Along with being the headquarter of the taluka and the district, it also has many historical buildings,including a fort and several churches.
